Macy’s Day Nightmare : Redux : Game Over

Download my Devign Future Tech Photoshop Brushes Here: devignelements.deviantart.com/#/d36zb41 This file contrains over 50 brushes I made for Photoshop in PS/AE CS4 using Trapcode Particular, Trapcode Form and other similar tools. I made this image in about 5 minutes after creating the brushes just to see how well they would work. Lots of shatters, plus interface elements and 3D forms.
The photo portion of this piece was taken originally at Macy’s Department store by my friend, George and his son.
Horrified by a really ugly manikin, George stopped to snap a quick pic.
The Macy’s people promptly chased them out for snapping the pic, but I though it was worth being chased seeing the end result.
The scar was, I repeat, was, on the manikin and not added in later.
I like to think of it as the Macy’s bailout plan… plan to bail everyone out of the store running for their lives.
Anyway this is what I did with it. My imagination really runs away with me sometimes. Maybe this is why I hate shopping.

Glass Tile: New Trends In Arizona Landscape Designs

Long gone are the days when homeowners tiled their pools with porcelain and ceramic. Today, glass tile is the top choice for tiling pools. A pool takes up a large part of a backyard landscape. Because of this more homeowners want to create beautiful pool areas and upscale “pool-scapes.” The shimmering, light reflecting look of glass tile is highly appealing, plus it can be used in areas around the pool to develop stunning art mosaics and other decoration.
In high temperature regions, pool areas get a lot of attention. In Arizona landscape designs pools have become integral parts of the backyard landscape and more and more daring designs are being created each year. Since a lot of time is spent by the pool in high climate areas, the pool has become just as big a part of desert landscape designs as the elements that surround them. More “natural” environments are being designed. That is to say, in desert landscape designs, pools, gardens, and sculptural elements are being tied together to create an entire backyard look.
Glass tile has been instrumental in the “pool-scape” movement. Iridescent glass is often used because it glows when exposed to light and gives a stunning “crystal” look to pool water. It is also highly desirable because it does not discolor over time like other materials. It is an asset in Arizona landscape designs because it offers diversity and variety. Homeowners are beginning to use more playful colors of glass tile in their pools and many have achieved creating pool areas with a truly high-end look.
Tile glass is also popular in Scottsdale kitchens where Phoenix contractors often use it to create beautiful backsplashes as well as cabinet and counterspace designs. Architectural Phoenix landscapers use glass tile in many outdoor projects too. Glass tile can be used in outdoor deck designs and garden paths for a luminous touch.
Glass tiles are both beautiful and functional. They are inherently waterproof unlike other tiling materials that require additional treatments to make them water resistant. While glass is known to expand and contract, it is still less likely to warp or fade like other pool tiling materials. Glass is also extremely easy to clean. Unlike some other tiling materials, it is recommended that a professional install glass tiles. Glass has very specific installation requirements that will prevent it from “failing” after being put in. In other words, to keep it from potentially popping out of place or shattering it is best to have an experienced contractor install your glass tiles for you.

I’m looking for some seriously awesome words. Prefereably ones that aren’t used very often. Just words that look cool, sound cool and mean something cool. Some example of the kind of feel I’m looking for would be words like Phenomenon, Axis, Shatter, Design, Flame, Shield, Paradox, Crutch… stuff like that.
